Origins
Burnbrae Poll Merino Stud was founded in 1995 with the purchase of the Gumview Poll Merino Stud.
AIM
Our aim is to breed an easy care, well doing sheep of 18-19 micron with good fleece weight suitable for medium to high rainfall zones.
Influence
Focus
The stud has concentrated on early growth rates, EMD, Fat, fleece weight, reproduction, while maintaining fibre diameter and staple strength, along with selection for low worm egg counts.
In recent years, industry leading genetics have come from Anderson, Merinotech and Centre Plus
genetics.
